The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) has a creative new way to spread awareness about lionfish management. The month of April has been dubbed “Lionfish Control Month”, and focuses on using social media in a kind of interactive lionfish hunt. Users upload photos of speared lionfish on Twitter or Instagram using the tag #FWCLionfish in hopes of winning on of the 150 “Lionfish Control Team” t-shirts.
